Rorc First Class By Sparkman & Stephens

Al Na Ir III

Is a Sparkman & Stephens design, built by Cantiere Navale Carlini in Rimini, Italy in 1964. She is one of the very well known sailing masterpieces of the ‘60ies and the many results in international races ,the quality of the building and the beauty of her lines made her   famous . She was built for a renewed Italian yachtsmen, Dr. Toni Pierobon, who sailed and raced in Mediterranean sea and in Atlantic Ocean. She tooks part  to the Admiral’s cup and to the Fastnet race in 1965 with very good results.

Among great names of the yachting, Rod Stephens has been racing on board of Al Na Ir III.

After the building of Al Na Ir IV and later V ,the yacht kept on racing and cruising in the Med under different ownership and reached the actual owner in 1995.

Since then the yacht was completely restored in a very philological way, and it is one of the perfect and beautiful yacht one normally meets in the classic yachts meetings and races of Mediterranean sea circuit.

But Al Na Ir III is not just “one of that beauties”, she is the fastest yacht of their class and age.

She keeps on winning.
