The New York 32 is a premier one-design class by Sparkman & Stephens. Only twenty boats were built in 1936 to the order of the New York Yacht Club. The job was commissioned to Nevins Shipyard. The New York Club asked to build a small number so they can kept control of the owners and the class. It combined the attributes of a truly ocean racer with some features that make her suited for pleasure navigation as well.
Ice Fire was the third boat to be build of this group.
